It was fantastic seeing so many Purple Room families today at Family Chapel! Thank you to the Purple Room for sharing your learnings about fish and their habitats and showing us your beautiful, marbled paper fish puppets.
PCS Director Finalist Interviews Next Week
The PCS Director Search Committee encourages you to come meet the four finalist candidates for the Director role. One candidate will be on campus each day next Monday, March 9, through Thursday, March 12.
Parents have two opportunities to meet and ask questions of each candidate:
- 9:00 am - 10:00 am: In-person meeting following morning drop-off in the Music Room
- 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm: Zoom meeting
More information on each candidate, along with a zoom link and online survey, will be sent the afternoon prior to each interview.
Parent Support Group and Open Discussions
In February, we began holding an ongoing monthly support group for parents on Friday mornings in the Reception Room. We hope these discussions will enable parents to support one another through the parenting journey. Our sessions are led by Dr. Andrea Nimaroff and driven primarily by your questions and challenges, though there will also be a broad focus on a few developmental topics including establishing routine and consistency, children’s self-regulation and emotional behavior, and managing parental stress and anxiety.
Our next session will be next Friday, March 13th at 9:15 am and focus broadly on emotion regulation in early childhood. Our last session will be Friday, April 10th at 9:15 am. Please reach out to Andrea with any topics of interest or questions at animaroff@plymouthchurch.org.
New Office Hours with Kate
We have added additional office hours with our psychological consultant Kate Wechsler. Kate has worked with Plymouth for over 25 years and has helped many families tackle the conundrums of parenting. Plymouth hosts monthly open office hours with Kate, which allows you to meet with her individually to discuss issues and concerns you might have and get support.
The upcoming dates are April 10th and May 8th. Half-hour appointments will be available between 9:30 am and noon. Please email Silvia at pcsadmin@plymouthchurch.org to book an appointment.
Materials Center
We continue to welcome your donations to our Materials Center! You can drop donations in the box located in the main lobby next to Adrienne’s office. Currently, we need metal objects (nails, screws, bolts, small bowls, jar lids, zippers, etc.)
